The Danish company, Vipp, initially gained fame through its inventive pedal bins. The small design icons have hardly changed since their first production decades ago. After several byproducts like soap dispensers and toilet brushes were developed, the Copenhageners thought even bigger: the Vipp Shelter, a 55 square meter prefab home.
Vipp likes to call the object itself a fully furnished Plug and Play haven. From the building structure to the door frames and even to the hand towels or the lamps over the dining table, the architecture and the interior design come from a single source. This is an exceptional aspect of the project, as it is often the rule that architects leave these details to the designers or the home owners.
